SAUNTERRA

Privacy Policy

Effective October 22, 2026

Your trips are personal. Here is exactly what we collect, why, who can see it, and how to delete it.

1. Who we are

Saunterra is operated by Jason Burchard, a sole proprietor based in Portland, Oregon. This policy explains what we collect when you use saunterra.club and the member app at app.saunterra.club, how we use it, and the choices you have. For any privacy question or request, email hello@saunterra.club.

2. What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, name, profile address (handle), home city and country, bio, and profile photo if you add one.
  • Your application: what you tell us when you apply, such as your home city, how often you travel, what you are looking for, and who referred you.
  • Your trips: the trips and bookings you add or import, including dates, places, confirmation numbers, prices, notes, photos, documents and the trip types and highlights you set, plus the countries you add to your map.
  • Email imports: only the results you paste into the app after running our prompt in your own AI assistant. We never connect to your email account.
  • Advisor requests: where and when you want to stay, who is traveling, and your preferences.
  • Payments: Stripe processes your card. We receive your Stripe customer and subscription IDs, your membership status and your renewal date. We never see or store your full card number.
  • Usage: pages visited and general device and browser information, collected with Google Analytics. Links that contain private codes (such as trip share and invite links) are removed before anything is sent, and advertising features are turned off.
  • Cookies: a cookie that keeps you signed in, and analytics cookies. We do not use advertising cookies.

3. How we use it

  • To run your membership and the app: your trips, map, stats, membership level and shared trips.
  • To process payments and renewals, and to calculate membership levels and cash back.
  • To book stays you ask our advisor to book, and to follow up on those requests.
  • To send you sign-in links, receipts, invitations, and important notices about your account. We will not send marketing email without your permission.
  • To keep Saunterra secure, prevent fraud, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

4. What other people can see

  • Your trips are private unless you choose to make them public, and upcoming trips are never public.
  • If your profile is public, people with the link can see your name, photo, home city, bio, membership level, the countries you’ve visited, and a summary of your public trips. Confirmation numbers, prices, notes and documents are never public.
  • People you invite to a shared trip, or send a trip share link to, can see that trip.
  • You can change these settings any time in Settings and on each trip.

5. Who we share it with

We share information only with the services that run Saunterra for us, under agreements that limit how they can use it, and with travel suppliers when you ask us to book:

  • Supabase: database, sign-in and file storage.
  • Vercel: hosting for the member app.
  • Stripe: payments and billing.
  • Resend: email delivery.
  • Google Analytics: website and app usage statistics.
  • Webflow: our marketing website.
  • Calendly: if you book a call with an advisor.
  • Fora Travel and the hotels and suppliers you book with: the details needed to make and manage your booking.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect members or the service, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy would continue to apply.

6. How long we keep it, and deleting your account

We keep your information while your account is open. You can delete your account any time from Settings:

  • Right away, your profile and trips are hidden from everyone and your membership stops renewing.
  • For 30 days, you can restore your account by signing in, and everything will be as you left it.
  • After 30 days, we permanently delete your account and everything you added: profile, trips, bookings, photos, documents, map, trip types, advisor requests and your application. Your saved card is removed from Stripe.
  • Copies in our routine backups are overwritten within a further 30 days.
  • Trips you own are deleted for everyone you shared them with. Trips someone else owns stay with them, minus anything you added.
  • Stripe keeps records of past payments, as required for tax and accounting.

If you applied but never joined, email us and we will delete your application.

7. How we protect it

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access rules in our database ensure each member can see only their own data and trips shared with them, and our own administrator account is held to the same rules. Files are stored privately and shared only through short-lived links. Location data is removed from photos when you upload them. No system is perfectly secure, but we take protecting your information seriously and will tell you promptly if a breach affects you.

8. Your choices and rights

You can see and edit most of your information in the app. You can also ask us to send you a copy of your information, correct it, or delete it by emailing hello@saunterra.club. Depending on where you live (including Oregon and California), you may have additional rights, such as to know what we collect and to opt out of certain uses. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. We will respond within 45 days and will not treat you differently for using these rights.

9. Children

Saunterra is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

If we make a significant change to this policy, we will tell members by email or in the app before it takes effect.

Questions? Email hello@saunterra.club.
